This long-lasting sealant is not only mold and mildew resistant but also won't yellow, shrink, or crack over time, ensuring a durable and long-lasting seal. It is ready for water exposure in just 30 minutes, based on a 3/16" bead at 70°F (21°C) and 50% humidity. Otherwise, users should wait 24 hours before exposing the sealant to water.
To use the product, users should ensure that all surfaces are clean and free of dirt, grease, oil, and old sealant. The sealant should be used in temperatures above 40°F. Users should unscrew the cap, fold and screw-on the nozzle, and cut the nozzle to the desired bead size. The sealant should then be applied, pushing the bead ahead of the nozzle, and the bead should be smoothed immediately after application, before a skin forms.
After use, the cap should be replaced tightly to prevent the material from curing. The sealant should be stored in a cool, dry location. To re-use the nozzle, any cured sealant should be removed.
The Gorilla Waterproof Caulk & Seal 100% Silicone Sealant* is suitable for use on a variety of surfaces, including stainless steel, fixtures, countertops, laminate, porcelain, sink, shower, tub/tile, granite, ceramic, gaps & cracks, painted surfaces, wood, vinyl, metal, aluminum, trim/siding, cables, glass, drywall, stone, marble, gutters, and plumbing.
However, it is important to note that the sealant should not be used on wet, damp, frozen, or contaminated surfaces, and it is not paintable. Additionally, it should not be used in underwater applications, aquariums, on brick, masonry, cementitious materials, or on metals sensitive to corrosion, including brass and galvanized metals. For general auto/marine applications only, and not for under-hood or direct gasoline exposure. For gaps larger than ½", a backer rod should be used.
The sealant has a service temperature range of -40°F to 350°F (-40°C to 176°C) and should be stored away from children and animals.
For cleaning, wet sealant can be wiped off immediately with a dry cloth, and isopropyl alcohol may be used according to the solvent manufacturer's instructions.
